About Us

Northampton Regional EMS Northampton Regional EMS (NREMS) is a non-profit 501 C-3 organization overseen by a volunteer board of directors. We are located in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania.

NREMS provides primary ALS/BLS emergency medical services to over 56,000 residents residing in over 85 square miles. The first due response district includes the communities of Northampton Borough, North Catasauqua Borough, Lehigh Township, Allen Township, East Allen Township and Moore Township located in Northampton County and Catasauqua Borough and Hanover Township located in Lehigh County.

Annually NREMS medical personnel responded to over 6600 911 emergencies.

NREMS is an active member of our communities. In addition to the emergency services, we offer training and community outreach programs.


Serving Since 1928

Many things have changed in 90 years, but our commitment to our communities have not. Since 1928, we have grown, evolved, and continue to strive for excellence!

The photo below is our 1st ambulance, a 1928 Cadillac. The service was founded as the Northampton American Legion Ambulance Corp on November 11, 1928, by Dr. Hoff, of the former Hoff Hospital in Northampton.
